There's a version of spirituality that feels safe. Sage away around your home. Affirmations in the morning. Golden light visualizations before bed. A commitment to staying positive, staying open, staying in love and light.

I understand the appeal and I lived in that version for a long time. But here's what nobody in that world told me: staying constantly open, without protection, without discernment, without sealing what needs to be sealed…that's not enlightenment. That's exposure.

And exposure has consequences.

What is spiritual bypassing and why it's dangerous for your energy field

Spiritual bypassing is a term originally coined by psychologist John Welwood to describe the use of spiritual ideas and practices to avoid dealing with unresolved emotional wounds, psychological issues, and unfinished developmental tasks.

In plain and simple language: it's when spirituality becomes a way of skipping the hard parts. And in the spiritual world, it still shows up everywhere. In the healer who processes every difficult feeling as "just energy moving." In the coach who reframes every boundary violation as a lesson in non-attachment. In the woman who has been leaking power for years but calls it "being in flow."

Spiritual bypassing doesn't just leave emotional wounds unaddressed. It leaves your energy field unprotected.

When we use positivity as a shield instead of doing real energetic work, we create what I call false security. The field looks calm on the surface. But underneath, there are gaps. Agreements that were never dissolved. Openings that were never sealed. Interference that was never named, because naming it would have disrupted the love and light narrative.

That's not protection. That's a fantasy bubble with good branding.

What energetic interference actually looks like (it's not what you think)

After losing my daughter Anna Sophia, I was cracked open in a way I didn't even have words for. After surviving sexual abuse this was the same. My field had gaps. And nothing in the spiritual toolkit I'd been given had a protocol for what I was carrying.

That's when I stopped doing energy work and started doing energetic forensics.

Forensics, because what I was dealing with wasn't vague or metaphorical. It was specific. Identifiable. And it looked nothing like what most people expect interference to look like.

Energetic interference doesn't always announce itself dramatically. It can look like this:

Chronic anxiety. A persistent sense of being watched, monitored, or not quite yourself. Dream states that leave you more depleted than when you went to sleep. Relationships that seem to drain your energy in ways you can't explain or stop. Creative and financial stagnation that appears despite doing all the "right" things. A nervous system that is always slightly braced...even when life looks fine on the outside.

It can also look like spiritual openings that were never closed. A mentor, a healer, a plant medicine journey, or like me: major life events. Something went deep into your field, and it was never properly sealed. What was opened is still open. And what is open can be entered.

Bloodline trauma is another dimension of this. The patterns that bleed through from your lineage. Not as memory, but as interference in your present-day field. In your sacral energy. In your relationships. In the way your body holds vigilance it doesn't know how to release.

This is what I see consistently in the women I work with. Power that is real, but compromised. Channels that are active, but unprotected. A field that has been entered, shaped, or disrupted...often by people who meant well, and sometimes by those who didn't. We live in an age where healers have to be healed from the healers.

Why sage, affirmations, and golden light aren't enough

Let me be clear: I'm not dismissing these practices. They have their place, but there is a significant difference between spiritual maintenance and energetic restoration. And the love and light world has largely collapsed that distinction...to the detriment of the people it's trying to serve.

Saying energetic interference doesn't exist because you're a positive person is like saying bloodline trauma doesn't affect you because you've chosen healing. That's not how fields work. That's not how lineages work. And it's certainly not how interference works.

Sage cleanses surface energy. Affirmations reshape conscious thought patterns. Golden light visualizations create a felt sense of safety.

None of these close a psychic wound. None of them dissolve a ritual agreement. None of them remove an implant, retrieve a fragmented soul part, or seal a dream gate that's been left open.

And if you've been cracked open: by loss, by abuse, by a spiritual practice that went deep without proper closure, by a mentor who entered your field and walked away... surface-level tools are not going to restore what was taken or seal what was left open.

What's needed is something more precise and complete.

Real energy protection: what energetic interference clearing actually involves

This work I do together with my husband from our union energy is precise. It's the womb who knows and the sword that cut deep to the root. I say that not to be dramatic, but because precision matters.

That is real energy protection. Not fear-based. Not paranoid. Not rooted in darkness. Rooted in precision, in care, and in a refusal to leave psychic wounds gaping because the spiritual world told you that love is enough.
