When your body knows there's another way: trusting your body beyond anxiety medication

Woman standing in a wildflower meadow overlooking misty mountains beneath a glowing moon, with the title "When Your Body Knows There's Another Way: Trusting Your Body Beyond Anxiety Medication.

Earlier this week I received a message that made me smile:

“Today it’s a year ago that I started to taper off the anxiety medication and it has been months since I’ve had the thought to take my medication.”

A client sent me this message this morning.

A client who, a year ago, intuitively knew she wanted to get off her anxiety medication. This wasn't proving energy. She knew, she was guided and she knew she couldn't guide women as clearly anymore as she had always desired while continuing to take medication she felt was no longer aligned for her.

Especially while, left and right, her field started opening to all the shadow dynamics and entity attachments her clients and the people around her carried.

She could see more.

Feel more.

Perceive more.

And she knew she didn't want to be the one guiding women through those layers while simultaneously using medication to suppress what her own body was asking her to meet.

I know this can be a triggering conversation, because we live in a society where anxiety medication, ADHD medication and other forms of medication have become incredibly normalized.

Going through a difficult period in your life? Don't feel the depth of it. Let's find something that makes it more manageable.

Can't make sense of what's happening in your body, mind and everyday life? Maybe you have ADHD. Let's diagnose it. Let's medicate it.

OFCOURSE that's too black and white. Butttttt…I also don't think it's as far removed from what is happening in our society as we'd like to believe. And I find that deeply concerning.

Because somewhere along the way, we as a society have become so afraid of discomfort that we've started treating every difficult internal experience as something that needs to disappear.

But what if it doesn't need to disappear? What if there is intelligence in what your body is showing you? What if the thing you're trying not to feel is the exact doorway your healing is asking you to walk through?

We've forgotten how intelligent the body is

Now, back to my client. There is something important I want you to understand. She had been my client for a longer period of time. I knew her. She knew me. Her nervous system knew my voice and our energies had already moved through multiple transmissions together.

There was trust.

And when you're consciously choosing to meet what may have been hidden underneath years of medication, trust, inner knowing and a willingness to face what comes up aren't luxuries. They should be the standard.

Together, we felt into how she wanted to consciously take less and less of the medication.

This wasn't a: “Fuck it, let's throw everything in the trash” kinda process.

There was consciousness, devotion and a woman who 100% wanted this for herself. And there was a container she could lean into while her body opened. Because that's the part I don't want us to skip:

Your body needs to open.

We can't simply remove the thing that helped us not feel and then ignore everything that was once too much to carry. We have to meet her without the restriction of time or how it should go. And within the energetic framework I work with, there was another layer too.

I believe medication like this can open the field to shadow energies and attachments you don’t want co-creating with you.

And this energy doesn't conveniently stay in one little corner of your life. It co-creates with you in everything. It’s everywhere: life, love, leadership, business, money, intimacy. So our work wasn't simply about taking fewer pills.

Healing asks you to open

We worked with what was underneath. Her body, emotions, and energetic attachments. All the places where her own energy had become entangled with something that wasn't hers.

I don't believe the medication itself is always the hardest thing to leave behind.

Shoot me if you want. I'll die on that hill. I believe one of the deepest hooks is everything that has become energetically connected to needing it.

The fear of yourself without it.

The belief that you cannot cope without it.

The parts of you that don't trust your own body anymore.

The layers underneath that you would finally have to feel.

And, from the perspective of my work, the energies that have been allowed to co-create with you while you were disconnected from your body's own intelligence.

THAT’S the deeper work.

Because I deeply believe in the capacity of the human body. I believe we are capable of moving through life events that break our hearts and make us question how the fuck we're ever going to wake up and function again tomorrow.

You will feel. You will break open. You will have moments where you don't know who you are anymore.

And you will heal.

But when we continuously override the body's intelligence because we don't want to feel what she's communicating, I believe we create consequences that reach much further than the symptom we originally wanted to make disappear.

And that's the conversation I think hardly anyone is willing to have.

What happens when you stop trusting your body?

What happens when you start believing you can’t handle your own emotional depth?

What happens when suppression becomes safe?

And what else does that belief begin co-creating in your life?

Because THAT'S where this becomes bigger than medication. This is about sovereignty. It's about the relationship you have with your own body and your willingness to meet yourself when she speaks.

What if your body already knows?

This morning, a year after she started this journey, my client sent me:

“It has been months since I've had the thought to take my medication.”

Read that again. Months.

And I want her message to exist in the world for the woman who already knows.

Not the woman who needs convincing.

Not the woman who wants someone else to make the decision for her.

Not the woman looking for a quick fix.

The woman who already knows.

The woman whose body has been whispering that there is another way for her. The woman who is 100% willing to meet whatever has been waiting underneath. Because no, you can't do this while eating your soup and watching Netflix, hoping someone else will heal it for you.

You have to be willing and you have to choose yourself again and again and again.

But if you know…let her message be evidence that another experience is possible.

And if you want to know more about how my husband and I work with this, or you have questions about the deeper energetic layers I see underneath it, reach out.🌹

Your body doesn't have to carry this alone.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, overwhelm...or simply feeling that your body is ready to lift all energetic veils…

I've created a free Energetic Clearing to help you release heaviness, reconnect with your own energy and remember what safety feels like inside yourself.

This isn't about forcing change. It’s about creating enough space to hear your own body again.
